In 1991 there were 30 young people beginning graduate school in the Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry Progam at Yale University. Where are they now? How many have tenure at a university? The answer might surprise you. Read about the fate of these students in this week's issue of Science [And Then There Was One]. Looking at my own department, there are about 10 Ph.D.'s from a similar cohort and four of them have academic positions in 2008.
